Every wedding is unique and reflects your personality.  My goal as a photographer is  to make you look your best and capture that individuality.  Photographs should also capture emotions, moments, and all the details you’ve work hard to perfect for your day.  My style reflects a clean and natural look. In mixing lifestyle and documentary approaches with just a little bit of guidance, we’ll work together to capture beautiful images that tell your unique story.

 

While I am fairly new to wedding photography, I feel it’s my duty to provide a high quality and professional service that will exceed your expectations.

A little about me

Hi and welcome to my online home!  I'm so glad that you are here and interested in finding out a bit more about me!  I want to start by saying that I never envisioned I would be photographing weddings.  I am and have always been passionate about art and beautiful things, but have spent most of my professional life in a laboratory.  Working in the sciences can be very exciting at times and trying at others!  It requires a lot of patience, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and hard work, but doesn't satisfy my desire to create something beautiful.

I remember how difficult it was to find the right photographer when my husband Jesse and I were planning our wedding.  The experience inspired me to learn more about photography, specifically wedding photography, and I started shooting weddings for some of our friends.  I found that I am deeply passionate about photographing weddings!  Maybe I shouldn't be surprised.  I've always loved weddings, whether I was a bridesmaid, a guest, or just folding napkins, setting tables and serving food.  I love that every wedding is different, unique and yet the most joyful of occasions. 

 

Other than weddings, I love skiing, hiking, soccer, tennis, and generally challenging myself.  I'd consider myself outdoor enthusiast and adventurer.  My husband and I really enjoy traveling and have explored much of the Western US and Europe with our sweet Alaskan husky, Jack.  We currently live in Tromsø, Norway and have been lucky enough to travel and explore parts of this special region of Northern Norway.  You can follow us on our adventures at A Lost Microbiologist and see more of my photography work on ViewBug.
